The International Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems will take place during January 31-February 1, 2022 in Elche (Spain). It is organized by the Spanish Location Network and Location Group GELOCA (SEIO). The Spanish Location Network is a group of over 100 researchers distributed into 6 thematic nodes and distributed among several Spanish universities. Every year, the Network organizes a meeting to promote the communication between its members and between them and other researchers, and to contribute to the development of the location field and related problems. The last meeting took place in Seville in 2020, on January 23-24.
The topics of interest are location analysis and related problems. It includes location models, networks, transportation, logistics, exact and heuristic solution methods, and computational geometry, among others.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to present works in the form of oral communications. For the participation, the submission of a short abstract is required.

The International Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems will take place during January 23-24, 2020 in Sevilla(Spain). It is organized by the Spanish Location Network and Location Group GELOCA (SEIO). The Spanish Location Network is a group of more than 140 researchers distributed into 16 nodes corresponding to several Spanish universities. Every year, the Network organizes a meeting to promote the communication between its members and between them and other researchers, and to contribute to the development of the location field and related problems. The last meeting took place in Cádiz, January 30-Feb. 1, 2018.
The topics of interest are location analysis and related problems. It includes location models, networks, transportation, logistics, exact and heuristic solution methods, and computational geometry, among others.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to present works in the form of oral communications. For the participation, the submission of a short abstract is required.

The 7th International Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems held in conjunction with the 23rd EURO Working Group on Locational Analysis meeting on September 14-16, 2016 at Malaga, Spain. The meeting intends to gather the operations research community from different parts of the world to share experiences in the field of locational analysis. We invite participation from all areas related to location theory including: network location, continuous location, discrete location, obnoxious location, competitive location, hub location, location-routing, advanced location models, location applications (logistics, network design), exact and heuristic solution methods. Contributions are welcome from academia, industry or the public sector. In adition to presentations, the meeting is intended to be a forum for exchange of recent experiences and results. Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit an abstract formatted according to the given templates. The submissions will be evaluated by a designated scientific committee. La Red de Localización y Problemas Afines es un grupo consolidado de investigadores de universidades españolas y extranjeras que trabajan en el ámbito de la localización y problemas relacionados. Iniciada en el año 2002, con antecedentes en el Grupo Español de Localización (GELOCA), actualmente la Red tiene más de 140 investigadores, distribuidos en 16 nodos, interviniendo 21 universidades españolas y 9 extranjeras. Sus miembros acumulan una gran experiencia en temas de localización, diseño de redes, y transporte, así como en técnicas de optimización en general, reconocida a nivel internacional. La Localización es un área de investigación dirigida a determinar las ubicaciones óptimas de proveedores de servicios, instalaciones, objetos o estructuras de cierto tipo, de manera que se alcancen ciertos objetivos. Lleva inherente el concepto de espacio y de su uso, y está fuertemente ligada a las áreas del transporte, las comunicaciones y la logística. Los fines perseguidos dependen del objeto de la localización, puede tratarse de la maximización de los beneficios derivados del funcionamiento de las instalaciones que se van a localizar, de la minimización de costes de desplazamiento, de la maximización de la población cubierta por unos puntos de servicio, o de la minimización de los efectos no deseados o nocivos producidos por estas instalaciones. La Red persigue varios objetivos. Por un lado, se desea potenciar el desarrollo científico del área, fomentando la comunicación entre sus miembros, facilitando la formación de los investigadores noveles y ampliando la de otros con experiencia. Por otro lado, la Red quiere impulsar la transferencia de conocimientos entre la Universidad y la Industria, Empresa y Sociedad. Ambos objetivos no son independientes ya que el desarrollo de cualquiera de ellos influirá en los avances que puedan llevarse a cabo en el otro. En la convocatoria del año 2012, la Reunión de la Red aparece integrada en el Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems 2012. Este encuentro combinará la participación de investigadores invitados con la presentación de trabajos por parte de varios miembros de la Red.

EXPLORATORY WORKSHOP ON LOCATIONAL ANALYSIS: TRENDS ON THEORY AND APPLICATIONS

This workshop is meant to be a discussion forum about Location Theory/Locational Analysis, treating the state of the art in both location theory and its practical applications. The invited speakers are:
